Our Programs
Our Outreach and Services
Dedicated to Empowering Communities
At Anar, we have three distinct programs that enable us to achieve our goals and objectives.
- Community-based Psychosocial Support (CBPSS) to Affected Populations
- “Shababeek” Children and Youth Mentorship Program
- “Makan” Program
The primary objective of our first program is to provide community-based psychosocial support and capacity building to children, youth, and communities affected by violence and oppression. Our program is specifically designed to address the needs of those who have suffered from traumatic events and experiences and to help them rebuild their lives. We aim to create a safe space for children, caregivers, and community members to receive support and access the necessary resources to heal and recover. Our focus is on fostering resilience, promoting well-being, and empowering individuals and communities to overcome the challenges they face. Additionally, we seek to enhance the coping mechanisms of communities, increase their resilience, and lower their distress levels.
Our approach involves developing strategies to enhance the capacity and capabilities of community-based organizations and leaders in the fields of Community-Based Psychosocial Support, child protection, and emergency response and preparedness. This includes establishing emergency response self-help hubs within various communities to promote community ownership and strengthen child protection and preparedness measures in different areas. We conduct training sessions for community-based organizations to support their capacity-building initiatives and empower them to take prompt action. As a result, community leaders will be equipped to provide immediate assistance in providing psychosocial support to children and caregivers including community awareness.
This program empowers youth aged 15-29 through leadership
and psychosocial support training. It covers leadership skills,
life skills, community development, advocacy, and psychosocial support.
The goal is to help children and youth heal and grow by becoming community catalysts through active roles, leading youth-led initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness among community leaders about their needs.
Our program is designed to facilitate the healing process of children through a playful, creative, and artistic journey that nurtures their imagination, enhances their coping mechanisms, and allows for self-expression.
We believe that providing spaces for reflection and expression empowers children to overcome the challenges of oppression. We aim to engage children and their communities in practices of hope through various forms of play and creative expression.
